General - Repairing and Application - Try This First

Go to Windows > Settings > Apps and Features

Search for your application

If there is a repair option try this first

If there is a reset option try this next

You may wish to uninstall and reinstall the application to see if this resolves your issue



OneNote

OneNote Sync Says Section (or Pages) can not Sync

It is likely that a section or page has become corrupted. In your notebook. Locate which pages these are using the warning notification that appears at top right.

Remove the offending pages.


I accidentally deleted sections or pages in my Classs Notebook

Talk to your teacher - they will be able to restore from their Team > Sharepoint Site Recycle bin


I have another issue

Reset OneNote app from Settings

- Onenote will not load notebooks, permissions issue appears, but correct permissions are in place


  • Go to Windows 10 Settings > Apps and Features.
    (or press Windows-X and choose Apps and Features) 
  • Locate Onenote from the app list and select Advanced Options
  • Choose Repair and Reset

Note: Reset will disconnect any current notebooks that you have connected

Some suggestions (as it is often tricky to diagnose)


Reset or Repair Office


Go to Windows 10 Settings > Apps and Features

Locate Microsoft Office and click on Advanced options

Click repair to start the process


Use The Microsoft Support and Recovery Assitant


To diagnose and automatically fix several common Office sign-in issues, you can download and run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant. - this will download an application.

To fix this issue, use PowerShell to reinstall the packages for Azure AD WAM plugin (for organizational or work accounts) and Live ID (for personal accounts such as @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, and so on). To do this, follow these steps:


Right-click the Windows icon in your task bar, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).


If you're prompted by a User Account Control (UAC) window, select Yes to start PowerShell.


If your issue is about a work account, you have to fix the Azure AD WAM plugin package. Run the following command in the command console (you will need to copy this):

Uninstall and Reinstall Office

If you have persistent problems you may need to uninstall and reinstall.


Option 1: Uninstall from Control Panel

  1. In the search box on the task bar, type control panel, then select Control Panel.
  2. Select Programs > Programs and Features, then right-click your Microsoft Office product, and choose Uninstall.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete the uninstall.


Option 2 - Completely uninstall Office with the uninstall support tool


  • Click the link below to download and install the Office uninstall support tool.
  • Download Uninstall Tool

  • Once this has downloaded, run the tool
  • Select the version you want to uninstall, and then select Next.
  • Follow through the remaining screens and when prompted, restart your computer.
  • After you restart your computer, the uninstall tool automatically re-opens to complete the final step of the uninstall process. Follow the remaining prompts.


Reinstalling Office


Go to https://aka.ms/office-install and sign in.

Choose Install Office



Outlook for Windows Issues
