Printing from a Windows PC

1. Download and install Papercut Deploy Client from this link or the icon below

2. Double click on the downloaded file to install. (Computer local administrator permission required)

3. If there is a black prompt screen pop up, don't close it. It will close itself once it is complete.

4. When the installation is done, Papercut sign in screen will be pop up. Sign-in with your short username and password.

Printing from Mac - AirPrint


For devices running MacOS, iPadOS and iOS, the PaperCut print deploy client is NOT required.


System Preferences > Printers and Scanners > Add + to add printer > Select BYOD_find_me > Print document > When prompted - use your school username and password


  1. Navigate to System Preferences > Printers and Scanners.
  2. Click the + icon under the Printers List. The Add dialog is displayed. It displays a list of all the discovered printers on the network.
  3. Select the BYOD_find_me printer. 
  4. At the bottom of the dialog box, check that Use is set to Secure AirPrint.
  5. If Secure AirPrint isn’t displayed:
    1. Close the Add dialog.
    2. Disconnect from the network, then reconnect to it again.
    3. Check if you can see Secure AirPrint now. If you can’t, contact your System Administrator.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Print your document. When prompted, remove the default computer username and password, and then enter your school username (short version) and password. Make sure you tick the remember credential box so that you don't need to enter them next time.

FAQ

Issues with printing to Letter

Your printer may have a default size of letter setup. You can check and change this. Check the paper size is A4 and not Letter (this can cause you problems later if left as Letter)




Issues with BYOD_Find_Me printer is gone

You have installed and printed to BYOD_Find_Me printer before but now it is gone from your printer list.

1. Check the PaperCut Deploy client in the taskbar. You may need to click on the up arrow to show all - If the icon tray is still there?

 

2. Right-click on the PaperCut icon and choose View my printers.


  • If you are not signed in, please sign in as your school short username and your password.
  • If you have signed in, but wrong username, please click on Change user button to sign out. Then you can sign in again.
  • If you don't have any printer in the list. Please confirm you are connected to school network.


3. If you have any other error message other than sign-in issues, please uninstall PaperCut Print Deploy client and repeat the steps at the top of the page to re-install. 

  • To uninstall, please go to Settings >Apps > Installed apps. Search or scroll down to find PaperCut Print Deploy Client app and select the option to Uninstall.
